The clean skincare brands we are coveting

At House of Grey we take a full-circle approach to nourishing our body and mind: from the spaces we design, to the foods we consume, to being aware of what we put on our skin - they are all small elements that come together to form a larger focus of how the different areas of our life can influence how we feel in body and mind. At the heart of our Circular Salutogenic Design principles is the importance of sensory stimulation; we believe our senses are a doorway to strength and inspiration

We specify natural, chemical free products throughout our projects and founder Louisa Grey applies the same methodology to the non-toxic skincare she choose’s to use on her face and body.  Louisa whole-heartedly believes in making space for daily escapism and has created a natural skincare routine. She has developed her ritual which is yoga, face yoga, combined with EFT (emotional freedom technique) tapping, by stimulating the meridian points to reduce stress & negative emotion - It also support lymphatic drainage. This combined with using natural aromatherapy oils to stimulate the scents, allows her to reset before the day starts.

Lesse

A new way of thinking about organic skincare, Lesse creates products that have an optimal impact on skin and a minimal impact on the planet. The brand is focussed on better solutions without compromising on efficacy or the integrity of the planet: sourcing organically cultivated ingredients for their products and making packaging from recycled and recyclable materials. We have been admiring this regeneration mist which contains organic skincare ingredients for hyperpigmentation and barrier-restoring mushroom and jojoba.

French skincare brand Oh My Cream limits their ecological impact by making all their products in France, developing their formulas in French labs and using packaging by French partners. Aligned with the values of House of Grey, they analyse the life cycle of their products - from the extraction of raw materials to the final waste. We adore this sesame and almond oil made with antioxidant raspberry seed oil and sea fennel to brighten the skin.

Surya

Our founder practices yoga and has done for many years, She has spent some time in India and is incredibly drawn to the Ayurvedic system of well-being, With this in mind she discovered Surya who seeks to restore balance and health and revive connections with nature and spirit. The Ayurvedic approach was designed 10,000 years ago by devoted yogis seeking to better and extend their lives and it’s just as relevant today. Led by Ayurvedic doctor and herbalist Martha Soffer, the brand has designed their products to help restore meaningful balance to body, mind and emotions. We love this Hormone Soothing Bath Soak which will harmonise, ground and calm the soul as it has shatavari which supports women’s reproductive health and wild yam which balances hormonal changes - the perfect organic skincare for menopause-related skin concerns.
